We're looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Workers. If you enjoy hands-on work, operating equipment, and making a visible impact every day, we'd love to hear from you! As a Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Worker, you'll help maintain the appearance and safety of our grounds through a variety of landscaping and maintenance tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy physical work, working as part of a team, and spending their days outdoors. This position performs a wide range of landscape maintenance duties and other related responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
• Valid New Mexico driver's license.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background investigation.
• Native American preference will be given in accordance with applicable policies.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of landscaping practices, including plants, grasses, and trees.
• Experience safely operating landscaping equipment and power tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with coworkers and the public.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, and edge lawns using power mowers and edgers.
• Plant, water, fertilize, and maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and flower beds.
• Mulch, aerate, weed, rake, and remove thatch to keep landscapes healthy and attractive.
• Collect and remove litter to maintain clean grounds.
• Operate landscaping equipment, including mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, brush trimmers, and axes.
• Assist with irrigation systems and adjust watering practices to promote healthy landscapes while conserving water.
• Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, and apply salt when necessary.
• Perform other grounds maintenance and landscaping duties as assigned.
