About The Position

The Groundskeeper maintains the appearance of the grounds at Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma properties. The role includes operating lawn equipment, performing routine landscaping and grounds maintenance, caring for trees and shrubs, and keeping work areas clear. The position reports to the Grounds Supervisor or Manager. This is a full-time position with a pay rate of $16.35 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with Saturdays and Sundays off. Weekly Earned Wage Access is available as an option.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Ability to read and follow written or oral directions for tasks.
Ability to understand government public health regulations, as needed.
Ability to understand and follow safety standards related to job performance.

Responsibilities

Operate lawn equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, edgers, and blowers.
Pick up trash and perform routine tasks to maintain the grounds.
Maintain established lawns and landscaping by mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, weeding, and planting.
Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, and hedge trimmers.
Care for trees, hedges, and shrubs using shears, pruners, or chainsaws.
Occasionally remove snow and ice manually from walkways, drives, and other areas.
Keep work areas clear of clutter and debris.
Perform other duties as assigned.
