About The Position

The Groundskeeper maintains the appearance of the grounds at Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma properties. The role reports to the Grounds Supervisor or Manager and involves operating lawn equipment and hand tools, caring for lawns and landscaping, maintaining work areas, and occasionally removing snow and ice. The position pays $16.35 per hour and is full-time, with a schedule of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and follow written or oral directions for tasks.
• Ability to understand government public health regulations, as needed.
• Ability to understand and follow safety standards related to the job.

Responsibilities

• Operate lawn equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, edgers, and blowers.
• Pick up trash and perform routine tasks to maintain the grounds.
• Care for established lawns and landscaping by mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, weeding, and planting.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, and hedge trimmers.
• Care for trees, hedges, and shrubs using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
• Occasionally remove snow and ice manually from walkways, drives, and similar areas.
• Keep work areas clear of clutter and debris.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
