About The Position

Oahu Country Club is seeking a Groundskeeper to support maintenance of areas around its golf course and club grounds. Under the direction of supervisory staff, the Groundskeeper helps prepare the course for play and properly maintains tools and equipment while working according to the club’s guiding principles of honesty and respect. Local candidates are strongly preferred, and candidates must be available for an in-person interview.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and ability to operate manual/standard vehicles.
Ability to operate standard-shifting equipment.
Ability to use good judgment and work responsibly and safely.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Ability to communicate and interact respectfully with employees, supervisors, and guests.

Local candidates are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Mow greens and tees with walking mowers.
Remove debris and repair ball marks on greens.
Top-dress tee and fairway divots with proper sand and refill sand in tee divot containers.
Rake and edge sand traps.
Cut cups and move tee markers as trained.
Use motorized line trimmers and hoovering mowers to trim grass in various areas.
Weed, prune, and water turf and landscape areas as assigned.
Pick up debris such as leaves, branches, and paper trash as needed.
Operate carts and utility vehicles to haul debris, materials, and tools.
Maintain ropes, stakes, and signs.
Assist with sodding greens, tees, or fairways.
Assist with aerating and top-dressing greens and tees with proper sand.
Assist with irrigation, drainage, landscaping, and other projects as needed.
Assist with storm-damage cleanup and repairs.
