About The Position

This job description is for a Grounds Keeper position with the Marion County School District. Requirements

  • Pre-employment drug testing is mandatory.
  • A pre-employment Level II background check will be conducted.
  • Any omission, incorrect or false response to any information on your application will constitute a reason for refusal to hire or dismissal.
  • Failure to disclose convictions will result in an applicant being ineligible for employment for a period of not less than six months.
  • If not a current MCPS employee, and currently serving court-ordered probation or in an open court case for any offense other than a minor traffic violation, you are not eligible for employment until such probation is complete or the court case is closed.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position for which you are applying, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must meet Florida Retirement System (FRS) guidelines for re-employment eligibility.
  • Must provide contact information for the four most recent positions of employment.
