About The Position

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 Systems Engineer to support a program from its Dulles, Virginia, or Fairfax, Virginia, offices. The position is onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work. The role performs system integration, verification, and validation across total systems, including activities spanning concept, design, test, installation, operation, and maintenance. It converts customer or product requirements into complete systems solutions while accounting for technical and schedule constraints, maintains and develops operations procedures, incorporates lessons learned from real-time performance, and interfaces with program and customer personnel. The engineer decomposes and allocates requirements across system architecture levels and functional engineering groups; develops and releases systems engineering artifacts; collaborates on requirements, capabilities, technology integration, and design; supports engineering development, production, and deployment milestones; reviews engineering drawings and documentation; and identifies process improvements and technologies for potential implementation. An active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance is required at application, with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph. The position may be filled at Level 2 or Level 3, based on qualifications. Travel is 10% of the time, and relocation assistance may be available.
