About The Position

Oversees and is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the entire general outside grounds keeping areas. Must be able to operate grounds keeping equipment, to include but not limited to: lawn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, chainsaws, etc.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or six months to one year job-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
  • Must be able to operate grounds keeping equipment, to include but not limited to: lawn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, chainsaws, etc.
  • Must be able to operate a two-way radio.
  • Must be able to read, write, and be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.

  • Mescalero Apache Tribal preference; bicultural experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • On a daily basis, checks with Grounds Maintenance Manager or Assistant Grounds Maintenance Manager for any and all work orders for the resort.
  • Carry out daily assignments and daily work detail. Details involve concepts and methods familiar to the team member and are made in terms of the objective to be achieved and without explicit instructions on work method.
  • Inventories supplies on a daily basis to report items needed.
  • Must be able to operate a two-way radio.
  • Keep IMGR&C grounds clean at all times.
  • Must be able to read, write, and be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
  • Checks, maintains, and repairs any general maintenance needs on a daily basis.
  • Treats IMGR&C equipment (vehicles, tools, etc.) with care and performs regular maintenance on the equipment.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Provide guests with directions or other venue information. Act upon all comments/complaints in a prompt, professional and friendly manner.
  • Supports achievement of Quality Goal; “Do it right the first time.”
  • Acts to protect and preserve property of IMGR&C. All areas, equipment and furnishings are kept exceptionally neat, clean and in good repair.
  • Makes suggestions to improve performance.
  • Serves others.

  • Takes quick action to serve others in a way that meets/exceeds their needs.
