About The Position

The groundskeeper is responsible for performing general janitorial duties including landscaping and grounds maintenance mainly outside of the distribution center.

Requirements

Be able to read and write at a basic level.
Basic math skills required.
Minimum of 1 year previous janitor/maintenance experience.
Must be able to lift and move power equipment and hand tools.
Must be able to work sometimes in harsh weather conditions.
Must wear anti-slippery, steel-toe shoes, gloves, and a safety vest.
Complies and enforces all safety rules.
Reports any unsafe conditions and/or practice to his/her immediate supervisor.
Complies with the company’s food safety, food quality and food defense systems.
Complies with all safety, health, and environmental company policies and procedures.
Reports any work-related injuries to immediate supervisor.
Carries proper employee identification when in company’s premises.
Vehicle parking permit visible when in company’s premises.
Uses safety shoes (non-slip and steel-toe)
Utilize appropriate PPE

Responsibilities

Trims, cuts and removes scrubs, bushes and trees.
Inspects and maintains common areas and reports deficiencies.
Inspects and maintains the exterior of the property and reports deficiencies.
Mows lawns when necessary.
Ensures pathways, stairs, outdoor seating and other structures are safe.
Maintains exterior walkways and driveways clean and in neat appearance.
Cleans landscaping tools and equipment after each use.
Cleans the warehouse floor with the floor sweeper machine.
Maintains and reports inventory levels of all cleaning supplies minimizing waste.
Must be able to concentrate on their tasks and follow written and verbal directions.
Strong attention to detail.
Other duties can be assigned based on the needs of the company.
