About The Position

Seeking experienced and dependable barn staff for a boutique youth lesson and show barn in Billerica, Massachusetts. Morning and afternoon/evening positions are available, with the possibility of combining hours into one full-time role. The barn seeks hardworking, detail-oriented individuals who are passionate about horse care and enjoy a positive, team-oriented environment. There may be opportunities for additional hours, advancement, and potential involvement in lesson and horsemanship programs.

The morning shift runs Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 AM–12:30 PM. The afternoon/evening shift runs Monday through Friday, approximately 2:30–6:00 PM. Part-time positions are available, with potential for full-time hours.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of horse or barn experience.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift more than 50 pounds.
• Comfort recognizing changes in horses’ health, behavior, and soundness.
• References required.

Responsibilities

• Feed horses and provide general horse care.
• Manage turnout.
• Clean stalls.
• Blanket horses and administer medications.

• During afternoon shifts, tack and untack lesson horses and assist students.
