About The Position
At Tony's Fresh Market, the Grocery Clerk delivers remarkable customer service by providing customers with product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. The role involves a variety of retail tasks related to products, customer service, and merchandising. The employee works in a retail-store environment and may perform other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Have strong listening and communication skills.
- Be able to handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using equipment.
- Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Meet the physical demands of regularly standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking around the store.
Responsibilities
- Greet vendors and build rapport with them.
- Maintain a friendly, outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
- Respond effectively to customer questions.
- Stock products and maintain product displays according to merchandising standards.
- Perform basic department cleaning and upkeep.
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products.
- Use a baler if required, provided the employee is at least 18 years old and has proper training.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
