The Grocery Clerk provides exceptional customer service in a safe and clean environment to encourage customers to return. Responsibilities

• Conduct yourself professionally and display a positive attitude, speaking positively about the company in the presence of customers and employees.
• Respond to customer questions and requests courteously and helpfully.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Understand and adhere to shrink guidelines.
• Unload trucks carrying dairy, frozen, grocery, and other merchandise.
• Remove merchandise from pallets and sort it according to the store area where it will be stocked.
• Load merchandise onto carts for placement on designated shelves in the back room or on the sales floor.
• Read codes on shelves and merchandise labels.
• Manually attach price labels to items.
• Bring merchandise from the back room to stock sales-floor shelves and build special sales displays.
• Operate a manual pallet jack, powered pallet stacker, or straddle stacker if over 18 years of age.
• Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
