About The Position

Festival Foods is hiring a part-time Grocery Clerk I to help make grocery shopping easy and enjoyable for guests. The role focuses on stocking shelves, keeping products fresh and the store organized, and providing helpful, professional guest service in a fast-paced retail grocery environment. The position reports to the Center Store Manager.

The schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Associates receive schedules two weeks in advance. Training is provided for specified equipment operation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Requirements

• Helpful attitude and commitment to excellent guest service.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Awareness of safety requirements and policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
• Ability to stand in place for long periods; work in a cooler and walk throughout the store; bend, stoop, and kneel regularly; and perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
• Full range of upper-body motion to lift product.
• Functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create displays, and operate equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide helpful, professional guest service, including greeting guests, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
• Stock aisles and ensure products are fresh, in date, properly rotated, and well stocked.
• Help guests find products on and off the sales floor and provide suggestions or alternatives when appropriate.
• Unload deliveries, organize stock, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Work with the Grocery Department Manager and grocery associates to meet department goals.
• Keep the department clean, sanitized, tidy, and well maintained as needed.
• Address guest concerns with care and professionalism.
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked by designated times.
• Attend work regularly and on time according to the schedule, and provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
