About The Position

Festival Foods is seeking a part-time Grocery Clerk I to help make grocery shopping easy and enjoyable for guests. The role focuses on keeping shelves stocked, products fresh, and the store organized so guests can find what they need. It is based in a fast-paced retail grocery environment and reports to the Center Store Manager.

The associate provides friendly, professional guest service; stocks and rotates products; supports receiving and inventory; assists guests in locating products; collaborates with the grocery team; and helps keep the department clean and orderly. The schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Helpful attitude and commitment to excellent guest service.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Awareness of safety requirements and policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
• Ability to stand in place for long periods; walk in the store and cooler; and bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
• Full range of upper-body motion to lift products and ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
• Functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create displays, and operate equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to operate power jacks, forklifts, walk-behind lifts, balers, and compactors; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide helpful, professional guest service, including greeting guests, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
• Stock and display products; ensure items are fresh, in date, properly rotated, and shelves are well-stocked.
• Help guests locate products on and off the sales floor and suggest products or alternatives when appropriate.
• Unload deliveries, organize stock, and help maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Work with the Grocery Department Manager and grocery associates to meet goals.
• Keep the department clean, sanitized, tidy, and well-maintained as needed.
• Address guest concerns with care and professionalism.
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked by designated times.
• Maintain regular, timely attendance in accordance with the work schedule and provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
