About The Position

The Grocery Clerk I stocks grocery aisles to make shopping easy and enjoyable for guests. The role helps keep products fresh, shelves stocked, and the store organized while providing friendly, helpful service in a fast-paced retail grocery environment. The position reports to the Center Store Manager and is part-time in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Requirements

Helpful attitude and commitment to excellent guest service.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Awareness of safety requirements and policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
Ability to stand in place for long periods, walk around the store, and work in a cooler.
Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel regularly.
Full range of upper-body motion to lift products and ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
Functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create displays, and operate equipment.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
Ability to work a schedule that may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent guest service by greeting guests, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally and courteously.
Stock aisles and ensure products are fresh, in date, properly rotated, and well stocked.
Help guests locate products on and off the sales floor and offer suggestions or alternatives when appropriate.
Unload deliveries, organize stock, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
Work with the Grocery Department Manager and Grocery associate team to meet goals.
Keep the department clean, sanitized, tidy, and well maintained as needed.
Address guest concerns with care and professionalism.
Ensure shelves are fully stocked by designated times.
Attend work regularly and on time according to the schedule, and provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
Perform other duties as assigned.
