About The Position

Festival Foods is seeking a part-time Grocery Clerk I in Janesville, Wisconsin. Reporting to the Center Store Manager, the Grocery Clerk helps make grocery shopping easy and enjoyable by keeping shelves stocked, products fresh, and the store organized. The role involves serving guests in a fast-paced retail grocery environment and working with the grocery team to meet department goals.

Requirements

Helpful attitude and commitment to excellent guest service.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Awareness of safety requirements and policies, including proper lifting techniques and box cutter safety.
Ability to operate power jacks, forklifts, walk-behind lifts, balers, and compactors; training is provided.
Ability to stand in place for long periods and work in a cooler and throughout the store.
Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel regularly, and to lift products using full upper-body range of motion.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods.
Functional sensory abilities to visually monitor the store, create displays, and operate equipment.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, professional guest service, answer questions, and address guest concerns.
Stock and display products, ensuring they are fresh, in date, properly rotated, and shelves are well stocked.
Help guests locate products and offer suggestions or alternatives when appropriate.
Unload deliveries, organize stock, and support accurate inventory levels.
Collaborate with the Grocery Department Manager and grocery associates to meet goals.
Keep the department clean, sanitized, tidy, and well maintained as needed.
Ensure shelves are fully stocked by designated times.
Attend work regularly and on time according to the schedule, and provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
Perform other duties as assigned.
