About The Position

Caterpillar Mapleton Seals is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Grinding Specialist to operate grinding machines and produce precision parts and components according to specifications. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards. Normal working hours are 40 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. Positions are available on 2nd and 3rd shifts. The 2nd shift runs 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., Monday–Friday; the 3rd shift runs 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., Sunday night–Friday morning. The position does not offer relocation and requires no travel. Candidates must be at least 18 years old. This is a supplemental full-time position. Employment offers are contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Good communication skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work independently and with a team while managing time effectively.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Set up grinders and similar machinery.
• Operate grinders to produce parts and components to specified tolerances.
• Adjust equipment as needed and inspect finished products to ensure quality standards.
• Read and understand written directions.
