About The Position

This position is responsible for performing all tasks involved in the meat preparation and grinding process of taco production for Tyson Foods, Inc. This facility operates seven days a week and produces Bacon Toppings and Tacos. The pay starts at $17.55 per hour, with an additional $1.10 per hour shift differential for 2nd Shift.

Requirements

Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing and able to lift and carry 80 pounds or more (including bags of spices, TVP, salt, and boxed meat for preparation of the meat mixture according to company specifications).
The Team Member will regularly be required to stand, stoop, bend, climb ladders, change work levels, twist, and squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull and move about the facility.
The Team Member will work in hot, cold, and wet environments.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

Responsibilities

Perform operational setup of equipment; adjust equipment and document.
Be responsible for operation of all equipment/documentation needed for operation; must maintain a clean work area; must communicate with co-workers and management; make all necessary adjustments; observe all safety rules and take an active role in the promotion of safety.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Work as part of a team.
Wear safety equipment, etc. and follow GMP’s and Safety Policies.
Perform work as assigned by the department supervisor.
Follow standard work methods.
Practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
