About The Position

During the Full-Service Oil Change, the Greeter/Technician is responsible for servicing and inspecting the vehicle quickly, safely, and accurately. The lube technician must pay careful attention that only the proper gaskets and drain plugs are installed, the vehicle is greased, the gear boxes checked, the oil filter is tight, and there are no leaks after installation. In addition to the duties listed above, every crew member is responsible for general center maintenance and cleaning duties such as mopping, washing center windows, lawn mowing, clearing litter, snow and ice from the site, and cleaning restrooms. Crew members must attend crew meetings and run errands as required, as well as other duties assigned by a supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Service and inspect vehicles quickly, safely, and accurately.
  • Ensure proper gaskets and drain plugs are installed.
  • Grease the vehicle and check gear boxes.
  • Ensure the oil filter is tight and there are no leaks after installation.
  • Work safely, wear safety gear, and keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Protect pit opening with a bay net when not occupied by a vehicle.
  • Fill out Filters and Rock sheets properly for the Customer Service Advisor.
  • Perform visual inspection of belts, hoses, and other hood compartment components, and document unusual conditions.
  • Assist with performing pressure and leak checks.
  • Perform ancillary services in a timely manner.
  • Obtain correct oil filter, drain oil, and inspect oil drain plug and gasket.
  • Replace bottom-side oil filter, when applicable.
  • Check/fill gear boxes.
  • Perform additional services, such as fuel filters, transmissions, and differentials, when applicable.
  • Lubricate chassis, when applicable, and install a tamper seal on all plugs.
  • Assist with final safety and quality checks.
  • Organize and account for tools.
  • Perform general center maintenance and cleaning duties such as mopping, washing center windows, lawn mowing, clearing litter, snow and ice from the site, and cleaning restrooms.
  • Attend crew meetings.
  • Run errands as required.
  • Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor.
