About The Position

This role involves assisting in greenhouse production, with a focus on seeding, transplanting, pest and disease identification, harvesting, and general upkeep of the production areas and equipment. The position requires adherence to strict quality, safety, and sanitation standards, including GMPs, GAPs, and SSOPs.

Requirements

Ability to identify and cull plants with pests or disease.
Willingness to report all signs of pest and/or disease to supervisor.
Ability to follow instructions for harvesting mature plants.
Ability to move and rearrange growing equipment.
Ability to assist with loading and unloading greenhouse materials.
Ability to compost unused plants.
Ability to assist with daily and periodic cleaning.
Adherence to GMPs, GAPs, Company food safety policies, Company employee’s safety policies, and SSOPs.
Proper handwashing techniques.
Wear required PPE at all times.

Responsibilities

Operate seeding machine(s) for Tier 1 Seeding duties.
Transplant seedlings according to quality standards.
Identify and cull plants with pests or disease, reporting findings to the supervisor.
Harvest mature plants as instructed and according to the production schedule.
Move and rearrange growing equipment as needed.
Assist with loading and unloading greenhouse materials.
Compost unused plants as instructed and in accordance with the production schedule.
Assist with daily cleaning of production areas, equipment, and supplies.
Assist with periodic cleaning of common areas in the facility.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), Company food safety policies, Company employee’s safety policies, and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
Practice proper handwashing and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
