About The Position

Hygiena is seeking a Graphic Designer III to join its team in Camarillo, California. The position creates design components for global campaign collections and playbooks that regional teams can localize, and approves final print collateral artwork against brand standards. The role applies the brand system with independent creative judgment and is not an order-taking production service. The Graphic Designer III works with scientific, technical, commercial, and marketing content, creating accurate visuals and materials across formats. The position collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors, manages design delivery and print production, supports peers through creative guidance and review, and maintains finished assets and source files in the digital asset management system according to Marketing Operations conventions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least six years of professional graphic design experience across print and digital, including large-format or trade show work.
  • A portfolio demonstrating multi-format work produced within an established brand system.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and After Effects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including working within master slide templates.
  • Advanced knowledge of offset and digital print production, including color management, finishing, die cutting, bindery, and press checks.
  • Demonstrated project and vendor management experience on multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Experience designing layouts for multi-language localization.
  • Ability to present design rationale to non-designers and incorporate review feedback without compromising brand integrity.
  • Ability to translate complex technical or scientific information into a clear visual hierarchy.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects against fixed dates and raise conflicts early with a proposed trade-off.
  • Ability to write clear, accurate design specifications and vendor briefs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, including typography, color accuracy, and trademark usage.
  • Ability to give constructive creative feedback to peers and interact effectively with internal and external customers at all levels.
  • Discretion and independent judgment on design and production decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience visualizing scientific, technical, or regulated product information for B2B audiences.
  • Advanced photography and photo retouching skills.
  • Experience using AI-assisted design and content tools in a production workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver print, digital, motion graphics, large-format, trade show, and presentation design work using master templates and modular assets.
  • Translate scientific and technical content into visuals confirmed as accurate by the designated subject-matter reviewer.
  • Apply master templates and modular assets to new applications and formats, and recommend new templates or modules to the Senior Graphic Designer for recurring needs not covered by the system.
  • Produce design components for global campaign collections and playbooks, including editable source files, layouts accommodating translated text, usage guidance, and assets filed for regional access.
  • Reflect brand-standard updates in campaign materials; the Director of Global Brand & Corporate Marketing approves changes to the standards.
  • Approve final print collateral artwork against brand standards and production specifications, escalating exceptions to the Senior Graphic Designer.
  • Manage print and production vendors through specifications, proofs, and press checks, and direct photo shoots.
  • Agree design requirements, scope, and delivery dates with stakeholders and vendors, and deliver against them.
  • Escalate competing requests or capacity risks to the Senior Graphic Designer with a documented trade-off before a deadline is missed.
  • Provide creative guidance and peer review to other designers as assigned.
  • File finished assets and source files in the digital asset management system according to Marketing Operations naming, tagging, and metadata conventions, and recommend improvements to those conventions.
