About The Position

FASTSIGNS #160102 is hiring a full-time Graphic Designer to create and prepare graphics for output, printing, mounting, cutting, and application. The role includes working with customer-provided designs and files, preparing layouts to meet aesthetic and production requirements, checking jobs for accuracy, selecting appropriate materials and output settings, maintaining a customer logo library, converting graphic files, and operating large-format printers. Requirements

1–2 years of graphic design experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
Ability to prioritize jobs, multitask, and work autonomously.
Ability to determine the best output method based on customer needs.
Ability to sit and view a computer screen for long periods, four hours or more.
Ability to work under pressure while producing high-volume, high-quality work.

Responsibilities

Create computer-generated, full-color graphics and vinyl output for printing and mounting to a substrate, or for weeding, cutting, and application.
Complete or modify designs from customer drawings and files, or prepare exact output of customer-provided designs.
Determine the size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy; select type styles and sizes; and arrange layouts based on available space, design, and production requirements.
Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output.
Ensure the correct material is used for each job and that output device settings are accurate.
Maintain the customer logo library and convert graphic files.
Operate large-format printers.
Prioritize jobs, multitask, and work autonomously.
Determine the best output method based on customer needs.
