About The Position

The Graphic Designer 3 creates original graphic designs for apparel, footwear, and accessories that reflect the organization’s design ethos. With general direction from design management, the role contributes to ideation, concept development, and branding, while leading team projects and completing individual assignments. Work may include print, packaging, 3-D retail displays, event signage, logo systems, imagery, video, and collateral materials, using computerized systems throughout the design process. The designer creates seasonal graphic schematics across apparel, footwear, and accessories, manages overlapping seasons, explores graphic directions across collections, and provides timely design options to partners. The role prepares and uploads files for cross-functional partners and shareholders, keeps schematics and production records current for hand-off, and organizes files across Box and other systems. It is a fast-paced role that requires flexibility and close collaboration with graphic designers and design working teams, with a technical focus on schematics for factory production. The position also coordinates projects from concept through production and distribution, including internal briefings, timelines, work-back schedules, budgets, suppliers, specifications, production alternatives, and quality standards. It manages project costs and estimates, negotiates costs, reviews billing, reconciles budgets, evaluates vendors, arranges purchases from domestic and international vendors, and liaises with organizational managers and outside agencies to communicate project details and design requirements. The role is based on site at the Skims headquarters in Los Angeles Monday through Thursday, with Friday work from home. The contract is expected to last eight weeks from the start date.
