About The Position

This role provides essential support for grants and sponsored projects, working closely with the Grants & Sponsored Projects Administrative Director. The specialist will manage various aspects of grant administration, including communication with project coordinators, setting up cost centers, utilizing online tools for tracking and closeout, ensuring compliance with regulations, coordinating surveys, maintaining grant records, collecting forms, updating grant information, and assisting with audits and monitoring visits. Additionally, the role involves supporting basic research and data collection, assisting with grant writing and editing, and aiding in report preparation. A key aspect of this position is to promote a culture of belonging by fostering an inclusive and respectful environment for all students, faculty, and staff, and supporting the college's policies on access, fair employment, and equal opportunities.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree OR Two (2) years of post-secondary education.
  • Two (2) years of professional-level work experience in grant writing, proposal development, or a directly related field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide grants management support to the Grants & Sponsored Projects Administrative Director.
  • Communicate with project coordinators.
  • Request and set up cost centers for new grants.
  • Use online tools to assist with grant tracking and closeout processes.
  • Be familiar with all applicable grant compliance guidelines and regulations.
  • Coordinate survey projects.
  • Maintain the central file of grant records.
  • Collect and maintain required forms.
  • Keep active grants information updated.
  • Assist with preparation for audits and monitoring visits.
  • File resource materials.
  • Assist with basic research and data collection for grant projects.
  • Assist with writing and editing grants.
  • Assist with report processes.
  • Complete specific assignments related to grants, for example, updating a previous application with recent data, developing forms, writing and editing reports, etc.
