About The Position

The Grants Analyst assists with implementing the Foundation’s multi-million-dollar grantmaking and philanthropic efforts. The role engages directly with grantees to highlight stories of impact, builds relationships with franchisees invested in local impact, and manages grant implementation and impact reporting. The Analyst supports the Community Grants and Emergency Relief Grants programs, including application reviews, grant disbursement tracking, and communications with franchisees and nonprofit partners. Under the guidance of the Grants Manager, the role supports communications with more than 500 nonprofit partners and helps identify, research, and assess potential grantee organizations. The Analyst also collaborates with Finance, Donor Development, Marketing and Communications, and an agency/grant analyst to support budgets, awards, engagement, program communications, and grant administration.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in grants management, grant writing, or a related field.
BA or BS degree in public affairs, nonprofit management, communications, or equivalent experience in a related field.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Salesforce, and understanding of grants management software.
Willingness to travel periodically.
Team player with a can-do attitude and concise communication skills.
Flexible, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy.
Skilled in project management, problem-solving, and multitasking with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of social impact, grants management, and philanthropy trends and best practices.

Responsibilities

Assist with management of Community Grants and Emergency Relief Grants programs, including reviewing applications, tracking grant disbursements, and communicating with franchisees and nonprofit partners.
Manage day-to-day communications with 500+ nonprofit partners under the Grants Manager’s guidance, responding to FAQs and routine inquiries, routing calls and escalated questions, providing updates, and supporting timely communication throughout the grant cycle.
Identify organizations with partnership potential and conduct research, analysis, and due diligence, including reviewing financial documents and conducting site visits for potential grantees.
Build and nurture relationships with partner organizations through outreach, calls, and site visits.
Collaborate with Finance and the Grants Manager on development of the annual Community Grants budget and support timely, accurate distribution of $30M+ in grant awards across 700+ grantees.
Collaborate with Donor Development to collect franchisee feedback and grantee nominations, identify engagement opportunities, and facilitate connections between owners and grantees.
Support grantee communications and planning for the annual grant award announcement, keeping key stakeholders informed in partnership with Marketing and Communications.
Collect grantee content, visuals, and impact stories for Foundation communications.
Serve as the primary liaison to the agency/grant analyst for preliminary grant application reviews, data and reporting, and other day-to-day grant management tasks.
Stay informed about grants management best practices.
