About The Position

This full-time Grants Administrator Analyst position in Pediatrics is responsible for assisting in the preparation, editing, and proofreading of final proposals. The role involves providing expertise in budget development, preparing forms for funding agencies, and translating information from the Office of Research into submission-ready material. The analyst will offer technical advice on administrative and financial aspects of proposals, including budgets, subcontracting, and indirect cost rates. A thorough understanding of guidelines from NIH, DOD, and other agencies is required, along with the ability to direct investigators, collaborators, and subcontractors. The position also entails creating and reviewing complex subcontracts, coordinating Conflict of Interest correspondence, and developing resources to aid investigators in proposal preparation and award administration. Additionally, the role involves identifying potential sponsors and funding opportunities, maintaining databases of bio sketches and resource information, managing progress reports, and serving as a liaison with study sponsors. The analyst will also assist in preparing reports for administration on research activities and funding, oversee grant account transactions, and track research time and effort. The position is located in a clean, comfortable office environment.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assists in preparing, editing and proofreading final proposals.
  • Provides expertise in developing budgets and preparing forms for the appropriate funding agencies.
  • Provides technical advice regarding administrative and financial aspects of proposals, budget, budget justification, subcontracting, indirect cost rates, fringe rates, etc. to investigators.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of guidelines of NIH, DOD, and numerous agencies. Provides direction to investigators, collaborators, subcontractors, and others regarding requirements for proposals.
  • Creates, coordinates, and reviews complex subcontracts. Serves as liaison with contract representatives to ensure all guidelines are met.
  • Coordinates Conflict of Interest correspondence. Works with the Office of Research and others as necessary to complete accurate COI information and to ensure all guidelines and policies are followed.
  • Develops resources to assist multiple investigators in the preparation and submission of complex proposals and administration of awards.
  • Confers with the Office of Research, and research available databases such as Community of Science to identify the appropriate funding agencies for projects.
  • Identifies potential sponsors and programs for funding. Communicates funding opportunity information to faculty. Contacts appropriate personnel for coordinating funding.
  • Maintains a database of divisional bio sketches, departmental, divisional, center, and institutional resource pages and environment and training information to assist in preparation of training grants, contracts, program projects and other multi-departmental initiatives.
  • Manages the preparation of progress reports.
  • Functions as liaison with study sponsors; coordinate updates of grant information.
  • Assists in the preparation of reports to administration regarding the scientific and financial growth of research activities and funding.
  • Oversees transactions for grant accounts. Track research time and effort of study personnel.
  • Performs other related duties incidental to work described herein.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by leadership.
