About The Position

This is a temporary position that will last until the end of the grant on September 30, 2026. The role involves assisting with community and campus outreach, managing databases for program participant information, drafting distribution materials and communications, performing photocopies and filings, conducting basic research on job search resources and entry-level IT careers, providing day-to-day support such as maintaining calendars, greeting visitors, answering calls and emails, ordering supplies, and organizing special events. The position also leads special projects and performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must hold a high school diploma/ GED
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Supporting management preferably in an academic environment
  • Microsoft Office to include proficient skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to delegate work and manage projects with limited supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS, etc.) preferred
  • Preferred experience with workforce development program

Responsibilities

  • Assist with community and campus outreach

  • Draft distribution materials and other communications to program participants and stakeholders
  • Photocopies and filings
  • Basic research on job search resources and entry level IT careers
  • Provides day-to-day support such as maintaining calendars, greeting visitors, providing general information regarding the university and procedures, answering phone calls and email queries, drafting correspondence for manager’s approval, ordering supplies, and helping organize special events.
  • Leads special projects and functions as assigned.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
