About The Position

Global Solutions Network (GSN), a federal government contracting firm, is seeking a Grant Management Specialist for a full-time, long-term position supporting the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This role offers a competitive salary.

Requirements

Master’s degree in a related discipline or a bachelor’s degree with two (2) years of specialized experience.
Minimum of six (6) years of related experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Provide assistance with pre- and post-award activities, including the preparation of grant awards.
Assess grant applications to ascertain the allowability, allocability, reasonableness and consistency of recommended costs.
Respond to inquiries concerning grants management policies and procedures, status of individual awards, on a one-on-one basis.
Provide communication with NIH/NIGMS Program staff and NIGMS grantees.
Keep abreast of current and new NIH policies and procedures affecting the smooth operation of the Division of Extramural Activities, NIGMS.
Maintain official grant file(s); prepare electronic documents (convert to “PDF” images); upload images directly into the appropriate IMPAC II eAdditions file groups.
Interpret and apply business management policies, procedures and practices to grants related situations.
