The Indiana Department of Education (DOE) provides innovative support to Indiana schools, teachers, students, and parents. We proactively work with educators, policymakers, business leaders, and community-based organizations to build student success. The individual utilizes extensive knowledge of state regulations and requirements regarding the submission and monitoring of contracts (state and federal) and grants. In addition, the position requires a high level of knowledge of federal subgrantee award requirements and state requirements for subgrantee applications. The incumbent must pay great attention to detail to ensure that subgrantee applications are compliant with federal and state requirements and that budgetary calculations are accurately reported. The incumbent must develop and maintain strong positive working relationships with outside vendors and LEAs. Developing and maintaining a collaborative and collegial working relationships is essential both internally and externally. External relationships critical to success in this position include LEA special education directors, superintendents, business managers, support staff and vendors.
