About The Position

The Grain Elevator Operator performs hands-on grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading. The role also monitors the condition of stored grain and maintains and cleans grain facilities and equipment to help provide a safe environment for the operator and fellow team members. Operators are cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

The position is located in St. Joseph, Missouri, and works second shift from 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, with ample overtime, including weekends. Compensation starts at $23 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• For safety reasons, able to read, write, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English.
• Available to work overtime and weekends.
• Professional demeanor, including safety consciousness, quality job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communication.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Able to work in tight and confined spaces and at heights.
• Able to frequently lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more.
• Able to ascend and descend ladders.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
