Graduate Student Employee Biweekly - HSB AI Consultant
About The Position
The Hankamer School of Business (HSB) Technology Center is seeking a Graduate Student Employee Biweekly to serve as an AI Consultant. This role involves supporting faculty, staff, and students in the effective and responsible use of AI tools. The consultant will continuously review and update AI courses, provide consultation on AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini, and assist users in developing strategic prompting techniques and exploring AI agents relevant to their business disciplines. Additionally, the consultant will educate users on university AI policies, proper citation, and the limitations of AI, while also creating resources such as quick-start guides and video snippets.
Requirements
- Must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience using AI tools.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical faculty/staff/students.
- Commitment to academic integrity and the responsible use of technology.
Nice To Haves
- Experience developing AI agents and other advanced AI tools.
- Familiarity with academic and business-specific AI use cases, such as a study tutor, learning optimizer, test preparation, research and literature synthesis, feedback and peer review simulation, office automations, and any business-case examples.
- Prior experience in tutoring, mentoring, or technical support.
Responsibilities
- Continually review and update HSB AI Canvas Courses, refreshing content to enhance the AI community.
- Provide walk-in and scheduled support for faculty/staff using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini.
- Help faculty/staff transition from simple queries to effective, multi-step prompting and persona-based interactions.
- Assist faculty/staff in identifying and exploring AI agents relevant to their respective business disciplines to enhance their current studies and create a seamless transition into their professional careers.
- Educate faculty/staff on university AI policies, proper citation, and identifying AI limitations, such as hallucinations and bias, to ensure responsible usage.
- Develop accessible "quick-start" guides, use-case templates, example solutions/outcomes, and video snippets for HSB faculty/staff use.
