About The Position

This position involves assisting with the daily operations of The Store, a campus food pantry. Responsibilities include opening and closing procedures, stocking, organizing, and cleaning. The role requires providing respectful and confidential service to students, supporting inventory management, deliveries, and restocking. The Graduate Student Store Worker will also guide undergraduate student workers and volunteers, assist with data collection and reporting, and support outreach efforts and special events. Communication with the supervisor regarding operational needs and student support is essential. This is a part-time role requiring 15-20 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Must be a current graduate student at Baylor University.
  • Ability to work 15-20 hours per week.

  • Previous experience in a food pantry or similar service environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily operations of The Store, including opening, closing, stocking, organizing, and cleaning.
  • Provide respectful and confidential service to students utilizing the pantry.
  • Support inventory tracking, food deliveries, donations, and restocking needs.
  • Help guide undergraduate student workers and volunteers during shifts.
  • Assist with pantry data collection, reporting, and basic administrative tasks.
  • Support outreach efforts, donation drives, food distributions, and special events.
  • Communicate operational needs, supply concerns, and student support issues to the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
