About The Position

This position provides live technical support for Faculty Senate meetings and assists with broader Senate-related administrative and digital tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsive to email, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and comfortable working in a professional academic setting.

Requirements

  • Enrollment as a graduate student during the 2026-2027 academic year
  • Availability for: All in-person Faculty Senate meetings (Fridays, 1:00-4:00 PM, once per month)
  • Weekly meetings and check-in consultations as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time technical support during monthly Faculty Senate meetings (Fridays, 1:00-4:00 PM)
  • Set up and manage Zoom and Yuja platforms for virtual/hybrid meetings
  • Assist with screen sharing, session recording, and troubleshooting any immediate technical issues
  • Manage Al-based assistant tools as needed during meetings
  • Support faculty presenters with launching and navigating PowerPoint or other visual materials
  • Assist in the collection and management of votes using Qualtrics or similar tools
  • Ensure seamless operation of all digital platforms before, during, and after meetings
  • Organize and maintain Faculty Senate materials on SharePoint and Canvas
  • Improve design of a user-friendly SharePoint site for accessibility and usability of Senate documents and resources
  • Support other Senate-related administrative or technology tasks as assigned
