About The Position
This position is responsible for supporting student leadership development opportunities for on-campus residents. This position will be directly supervised by the Manager for Student Leadership and Advising. This position will assist in planning events for students to develop their leadership skills. This position will also assist in planning various student-involved events on campus. Additionally, this position will be responsible for co-creating and implementing the assessment plan related to student leadership development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Admitted to the University of Texas at Austin’s Graduate Program
Nice To Haves
- Graduate students enrolled for master's and/or Doctoral degree in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy.
- Graduate students with experience or background in housing and Residence Life.
Responsibilities
- Plan leadership retreats and create opportunities for leadership development and team building.
- Co-create and implement assessment plan for students participating in leadership development opportunities.
- Research and share resources with student leaders and advisors.
- Support and assist the Manager for Student Leadership and Advising with development and implementation of student leadership opportunities for Residence Life.
- Present small and large scale programs, activities, and training for students and staff.
- Attend departmental meetings.
