About The Position

Airbus is seeking university graduates for critical roles that will shape its future. The Airbus Global Graduate development journey is a personalized, two-year experience designed to cultivate professional skills, enhance business acumen, and hone technical abilities, with a strong emphasis on developing leadership potential. Graduates will gain a unique perspective on Airbus while contributing to an impactful position. The program includes soft-skill development in areas such as inclusive leadership, resilience, communication, and emotional intelligence, through various workshops. An annual in-person development week allows graduates to connect with peers and learn from leaders. The program aims to develop graduates into established and valuable team members, sharpening skills in areas strategically important to Airbus and gaining a deep understanding of the business. Graduates will demonstrate their capability and readiness for future leadership challenges within Airbus, with the opportunity to do their best work in an industry reshaping the world.

Requirements

  • A degree level or equivalent within Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical) with a strong curriculum emphasis on structural design and analysis and mechanics of materials is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English).
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation.
  • The ability to be self-aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
  • Ability to work in the US without current or future need.
  • Only applicants with current work authorization will be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's Degree in Engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret damage reports of aircraft structures from the Maintenance Repair Organization and verify repair solutions with support.
  • Document analyses in support of trade studies and/or certification projects.
  • Learn Airbus methods of sizing structure and certification documentation requirements.
  • Learn the concepts of structural analysis and how to apply the concepts to structural sizing.
  • Participate in overseas or US-based rotational placements to support growth into the position of Stress Engineer I.
