About The Position

Requirements

  • A degree level or equivalent within Industrial, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant degree field.
  • 0-3 years degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
  • Good communication skills, active listening and a pro-active approach to problem solving & decision making.
  • Knowledge and experience in industrial engineering, quality tools, problem solving, logistics engineering and process optimization (APICS basic level, lean/Six Sigma Black Belt, Kepner Tregoe or equivalent).
  • Aeronautical manufacturing basics.
  • Fluency in local language mandatory / English negotiation level.
  • 10% Domestic and International Travel involved.

  • Able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
  • Able to hear and participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

  • Able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.

  • Able to travel independently and at short notice, potentially internationally.
  • Able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.

Responsibilities

  • Securing an AOS deployment roadmap (architecture, ensure roadmap content) to support the new industrial set up of the line, industrialization, secure the SA ramp up and future rates.
  • Improving business efficiency and results achievement by advising plant stakeholders at senior manager level on business priorities and how to make the most of the standards, methods and associated behaviors.
  • Identifying which AOS standards best match the new production line to achieve benchmark and best-in-class manufacturing area.
  • Facilitating workshops on dedicated topics in complex situations or for training purposes.
  • Running and facilitating specific Gembas and shop floor exercises coaching and influencing senior management.
  • Piloting the AOS standards first implementation in the new FAL following the AOS deployment strategy with a "we do, you do" logic.
  • Supporting the development of AOS standards to answer business issues & priorities.
  • Assessing standard implementation through the implementation checklist as per AOS/Lean brick 6 phase methodology.
  • Involvement in assessments of industrial maturity integrating operations performance & AOS standard adherence.
  • Involvement in industrial task forces: diagnosis, solution definition and implementation, results achievement.
  • Training deployment on AOS for new production line population at all levels.
  • Growing the knowledge and autonomy of business managers by supporting the implementation of AOS/Lean standards and continuous improvement solutions in manufacturing areas.
  • Facilitating / co-leading / supporting training development and deployment.
  • Promoting the use of internal good practices and external benchmarking by acting transversally with the extended manufacturing communities.
  • Completing a minimum of one rotational placement to support growth into the position of Industrial Engineering AOS Lead.
