About The Position

Airbus is seeking university graduates with aspiration, enthusiasm, and talent to pioneer sustainable aerospace. The Airbus Global Graduate development journey is a personalized, two-year experience designed to cultivate professional skills, enhance business acumen, and hone technical abilities, with a strong emphasis on developing leadership potential. The program includes soft-skill development workshops (inclusive leadership, Values, resilience, communication, emotional intelligence) and an annual in-person development week with the global graduate community. Requirements

  • A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study such as Mechanical or Aerospace engineering.
  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Engineering or Manufacturing Operations (0 - 3 years of experience).
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation.
  • The ability to be self-aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
  • Ability to work in the US without current or future need of visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Project work supporting process improvements in the Manufacturing Engineering ecosystem.
  • Daily Manufacturing Engineer operations, including work order management, implementation of work process improvements to address non-conformities, and providing shop-floor engineering support to operations and quality.
  • Gain proficiency in Airbus manufacturing engineering computer systems, such as document control systems, SAP Manufacturing Execution System, Zamiz, and more.
  • Learn to incorporate engineering principles and analysis in a manufacturing environment.
  • Develop critical interpersonal skills through interaction with colleagues on the shop floor, in local engineering offices, and with colleagues in European Manufacturing Engineer centers.
  • Participate in a series of rotational placements designed to support professional development, potentially including different phases of the manufacturing process, rotations through the quality department, or in adjacent departments and/or sites.
  • Complete a minimum of one rotational placement to support growth into the position.
