Working under the supervision of experienced engineers, the role provides hands-on experience in design, analysis, and project development. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or related field) required.
  • Successful completion of the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam within one year of employment is required if not already certified.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required.
  • Microsoft Suite Products (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship, co-op, or research experience in a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and special provisions.
  • Support field inspections and contribute to the development of evaluation reports.
  • Collect and analyze data to prepare clear, concise technical reports.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project planning and execution.
  • Work under direct supervision to create or revise civil and structural design documents and drawings.
  • Perform engineering support tasks, including calculations and structural analysis, with minimal supervision.
  • Learn and apply relevant industry standards.
  • Gain proficiency in using the document management system and adhere to corporate engineering practices.
  • Participate in site visits to gain hands-on experience in substation construction and design.
  • Demonstrate accountability for the quality and accuracy of assigned work.
  • Proactively identify and communicate potential project issues and suggest possible solutions.
  • May remain in stationary position for extended periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 75 lbs. periodically
