About The Position

Thalle Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer for the Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP) Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) A-2 Reservoir in Palm Beach County, Florida. This significant project, valued at $2.87 billion, involves the construction of a large embankment dam and associated structures. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Geotechnical Engineering required.
Minimum of 3 years of related experience, or undergraduate with at least 5 years of geotechnical experience.
Prior experience in geotechnical field investigations, lab testing, and construction oversight.
Knowledge of subsurface exploration techniques and geotechnical instrumentation.
Familiarity with geotechnical analysis software (e.g., gINT, PLAXIS, SLOPE/W, or equivalent).
Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and construction drawings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Possess or be eligible for EIT or PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and executing geotechnical investigations including field exploration, laboratory testing, and analysis.
Support the preparation of geotechnical engineering reports, recommendations, and technical documentation.
Assist in foundation design and earthwork evaluation for heavy civil and infrastructure projects.
Interpret soil and rock data for use in stability analysis and other geotechnical evaluations.
Perform site visits and inspections during construction to ensure compliance with geotechnical recommendations.
Coordinate with project teams including civil, structural, and environmental engineers.
Utilize geotechnical software and tools for analysis and modeling.
Maintain organized records of geotechnical data, reports, and correspondence.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Lead Geotechnical Engineer.
