Requirements

  • Enrolled graduate student at UT Austin
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Strong professional communication, administrative and customer service skills
  • Experience with providing event and workshop support
  • Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel, SPSS, Excel, etc
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Enrolled graduate student at UT Social Work at UT Austin
  • Familiarity with online database management
  • Experience with ordering catering and/or supplies for department

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and supporting School of Social Work events and programs.
  • Provide event support, including room setup, materials preparation, guest assistance, and on-site logistics.
  • Maintain event records, databases, and administrative documentation.
  • Prepare and distribute event materials, communications, and promotional content.
  • Support office operations, special projects, and general administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Organize office and event supplies and assist with record-keeping and file management.
  • Collaborate with staff and campus partners to support successful events and daily operations.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and work primarily in-office, with occasional off-site event support.
