This graduate assistant (GA) position provides support to faculty within the Department of Sociology and Social Work. The GA is under the supervision of, and reports to, the MSW Program Director. Individual faculty may supervise project-based and course-related activities. Assignments may be completed remotely, with on-campus opportunities available. Duties may vary by semester and according to department needs but generally include the following: Practicum director support. This may include drafting and routing affiliation agreements and MOUs, scheduling site visits, and assisting with practicum orientation sessions for community partners and students. Program director support. This may include maintaining the Canvas-based BSW and MSW Student Centers, compiling program assessment data, and assisting with student orientation sessions and advisory committee meetings. Project-based assignments. This may include assisting with departmental events and other department needs. Undergraduate course support. This may include leading discussion sessions and/or developing course materials. Faculty research support. Time permitting and as opportunities allow.
