About The Position
The Grader evaluates used tires as they are unloaded from trucks and sorts them into four categories to assess their viability. This is a labor-intensive role requiring speed, attention to detail, and stamina. The position also involves loading and unloading truck tires, separating graded tires, tracking inventory, and completing basic electronic data-entry forms.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to inspect tires accurately and quickly.
- Dependable, with reliable transportation.
- Must have steel-toe boots.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic data-entry knowledge, including filling out an electronic form.
- At least 2 years of warehouse experience.
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload truck tires from trailers.
- Determine the grade of each used tire.
- Separate tires by grade and keep track of inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
