About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a System and Scheduling Architect new college graduate to contribute to designing the next-generation GPU system interface. The role is part of a global architecture team working on GPU products across areas including consumer graphics and self-driving cars, with the opportunity to contribute to technology related to artificial intelligence. The architect will develop an understanding of how GPU subsystem modules interoperate with one another and the overall system. The role involves planning features with software, hardware, and verification teams around the world, creating functional and performance models—often in C++—and developing test plans to validate designed features. The architect will also support post-silicon validation activities and continue learning and growing.

Requirements

  • Recently completed an MS or PhD in Computer Architecture, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Coursework or past experience in computer architecture, operating systems, and/or system architecture.
  • Strong proficiency in C or C++ programming.
  • Ability to create test plans for post-silicon validation activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of memory isolation and security, firmware, process scheduling, OpenGL, DX, CUDA, DL/ML, PCIe, AXI, NVLink, and/or CXL.
  • Knowledge of Perl or Python.

Responsibilities

  • Understand how GPU subsystem modules interoperate and interact with the overall system.
  • Architect and plan features with software, hardware, and verification teams across the globe to implement future GPU iterations.
  • Create functional and performance models, often in C++.
  • Create test plans to validate designed features.
  • Actively support post-silicon validation activities.
