This is a full-time, in-office position within the Florida Department of Health, Division of Disease Control and Health Protection, Bureau of Communicable Diseases, HIV/AIDS program. The role involves conducting information gathering sessions for policy updates, managing update lists and release schedules for various program manuals and standards, assisting with technical writing for procurement and contract amendments, and supporting legislative and policy coordination. The position also includes submitting programmatic updates for the division's newsletter and conducting research. The Government Operations Consultant II will be responsible for updating policies by gathering information from subject matter experts, creating manual outlines, and coordinating update timelines. They will manage the ongoing proposed update list and release schedule for several key program documents including the ADAP Manual, HOPWA Manual, Ryan White Part B Service Standards, Monitoring Standards, Case Management Guidelines, and Administrative Guidelines. Additionally, the role supports the Patient Care and Treatment Access Program Director and subject matter experts with technical writing for procurement items and contract amendments, ensuring drafts adhere to timelines and are approved before routing. The consultant will also assist the Section’s and Bureau’s Legislative and Policy Coordinator with public record requests, program rule amendments, and legislative session updates. Finally, they will submit programmatic updates for the Division weekly newsletter and conduct research as needed for the Patient Care Director.
