The Wildlife Impact Management Section (WIM) is seeking an energetic and motivated candidate to serve as a Government Operations Consultant II. The incumbent serves as the primary contract manager for the Wildlife Impact Management Section. The incumbent functions as the Section’s subject matter expert on business matters regarding fish and wildlife contracts. This position drafts, develops and coordinates contracts and agreements pertaining to WIM activities, including various contractual services, agreements and the development of Scopes of Work, in coordination with the appropriate section staff. The incumbent consults with the Commission's legal counsel regarding form and legality of proposed contracts and agreements, and monitors compliance with existing contracts or other types of agreements regarding section activities. Coordinates with Finance and Budget Office staff as necessary to ensure timely and efficient management and administration of section contracts and agreements. Prepares, reviews, and maintains files to develop and track the section’s contracts and agreements. Processes and/or obtains approval, as appropriate, of vendor invoices and warrants for payment of goods received or services rendered to avoid automatic interest penalty payments to said vendors. Adheres to the provisions and requirements for Section 215.422.F.S., related State Comptroller's rules and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures.
