About The Position

This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in Tallahassee, Fl in the Office of Programs and Reentry. The mission of the Office of Programs and Re-Entry in the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is to prepare inmates for successful reintegration into society by providing evidence-based programs, education, vocational training, and re-entry services. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Florida drivers license.
• Must have at least three (3) years of administration experience.

Nice To Haves

• CTE/Education experience.
• Postsecondary education; Associate degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Support the Department's Office of Programs and Reentry by demonstrating leadership and ensuring compliance with FDC procedures and statewide standards for the Bureau of Workforce Development.
• Oversee project statuses, monitor program expenditures, track purchase requests, and manage grant-related inventory to ensure efficient and appropriate use of allocated funds.
• Maintain inmate program data, bureau SharePoint, network drives, program coding, and file structures to ensure accurate and organized records.
• Assist in creating and updating technical manuals, curriculum, and long-term program plans, while analyzing data for quality assurance and recommending improvements based on best practices and current research.
• Coordinate institutional resources, manage travel and reimbursements for bureau staff, assist with teacher certification and vacancy tracking, and handle public records and constituent information requests.
