About The Position

This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in Tallahassee, FL in Finance & Accounting. The mission of the Finance & Accounting Department in the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is to ensure the responsible management of the Department's financial resources through accurate accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must possess three (3) years of experience in accounting, auditing, or finance.
• Postsecondary education may substitute for up to two (2) years of the required experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Accounts Payable, PCard WORKS, Statewide Travel Management System (STMS).

Responsibilities

• Acts as primary for Statewide Travel Management System access control custodian.
• Performs or coordinates the monthly scoped compliance review.
• Back up to monthly post audits on a sample of vendor payments to include but not limited to STMS, MFMP, and FLAIR payments.
• Acts as primary for vendor add in FLAIR.
• Assists with other PALM related projects as directed by supervisor.
