About The Position

This open competitive advertisement is for an OPS (Other Personal Services) position located at Southwood in the Finance & Accounting department. The purpose of this position is to optimize Florida Department of Corrections financial operations by applying the rules of the State of Florida HR, and MFMP/AOD. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent AND two (2) years of experience in accounting, auditing, or finance.
  • Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.

Nice To Haves

  • Accounts payable/disbursement and MFMP/Works experience.
  • 2 years of Human Resource (HR) experience

Responsibilities

  • Handles all administrative functions for the Bureau of Finance and Accounting (F&A).
  • Handles all human resource tasks in compliance with State of Florida HRM standards.
  • Delivers clear oral and written communications using professional problem-solving techniques, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and standard fiscal equipment.
  • Utilizes Works and MFMP while handling all purchase orders and pcard purchases for the Bureau.
