About The Position

The Gourmet Coffee Attendant prepares and serves a variety of coffee drinks and pastries courteously and efficiently while maintaining a clean work area in accordance with company standards and procedures. The role also promotes coffee consumption by educating customers about coffee offerings. The position is with Chez Bon Bon at Fontainebleau Miami Beach.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the basic functions of food operations.
• Working knowledge of acceptable sanitation standards and proper chemical usage.
• Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, staff, and guests.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant experience in a high-quality, high-volume operation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with all menu items and general hotel information.
• Take guests’ coffee orders and ensure orders are delivered correctly and promptly.
• Present and explain the coffee drink menu and answer customer questions.
• Use the automated point-of-service (POS) system to process orders.
• Prepare and sell coffee drinks according to prescribed recipes and preparation techniques, including espresso, espresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
• Follow proper check-control procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
