About The Position

The Gourmet Coffee Attendant -Barista completes opening and closing duties, sets up and maintains work areas, takes customer orders, enters them into the cash register and MICROS systems, prepares food and coffee beverages, and collects payments. The role includes maintaining coffee cart areas, tables, dishes, utensils, equipment, and supplies, as well as handling cashier duties such as obtaining change, counting the bank, completing cashier reports, resolving discrepancies, and securing receipts and funds. The attendant follows company and safety procedures, reports accidents and unsafe conditions, completes required safety training, maintains a clean and professional appearance, protects confidential information and company assets, and provides welcoming, attentive guest service. The role also requires professional communication, teamwork, and adherence to quality standards. Other reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors. Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
No related work experience is required.
No supervisory experience is required.
No license or certification is required.
Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or an entire work shift.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces and up and down stairs or service ramps.
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Responsibilities

Complete opening and closing duties, including preparing supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and locking doors.
Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
Take orders, enter them into the cash register and MICROS systems, prepare food and coffee beverages, and collect customer payments.
Ensure appliances such as coffee makers are turned on and off at appropriate times.
Bus coffee cart areas and tables, and clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment throughout the day.
Obtain change for the expected business level; count the bank at the end of the shift; complete cashier reports; resolve discrepancies; drop off receipts; and secure the bank.
Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; and complete safety training and certifications.
Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address their service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests.
Communicate clearly and professionally, maintain positive working relationships, and support team goals.
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
