About The Position

The Golf Staff position assists with the day-to-day operation of golf courses and amenities, ensuring that members and non-members receive excellent customer service. The role has no supervisory responsibilities. It operates outdoors on a golf course, where employees spend most of the day in varying weather conditions. Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous golf course experience.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift as required.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds frequently.
• Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend as necessary for filing duties.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the pro shop.
• Operate the computer system.
• Complete sales, including multi-play card sales.
• Manage tee-time reservations and logs.
• Issue invoices to walkers, riding players, and twosomes as required.
• Count the bank and complete the daily balance sheet, credit-card report, review, and closing report.
• Assist members and non-members with loading golf clubs into carts.
• Check out golf carts to members and ensure carts are returned in good working condition.
• Refer major problems or complaints to a manager or assistant manager.
• Maintain order and continuity of player traffic.
• Keep the outside area neat and clean, and arrange carts so they do not clog passage areas.
• Follow procedures for managing golf carts.
• Perform other duties as required.
